In this session, we will look at the top five unique things Distributors do well and can help Producers with. We will show you how a good Distributor can get your show financed, get a response quicker than you and maybe even help out with your next project. But there are pitfalls too: a catalogue that's too big for the attention you want, expenses that are not justifiable, and a reliance of the same old territories without opening up any new markets.
But this is not going to be a "Diss the Distributor Session"! Producers are part of this partnership too. And you all know there are things Producers can do to support a Distributor like provide great publicity materials, be clear about their expectations, and provide fabulous Programming, of course. But there are some hard and fast Producer "don'ts" as well and we are going to talk about them all.
