1. I have not received a confirmation letter, what should I do?
If you just sent in a registration form within the past few days, it may take the registration team a while to process it depending on the volume of registrations received. If you sent in your registration form a week or more ago, please contact us by e-mail at register@achillesmedia.com.
2. I've registered for HISTORY 2005, but I can no longer attend. Can I send someone else in my place?
Yes you can. All registrations are transferable subject to a $50 CDN handling fee and must be requested in writing by email to
register@achillesmedia.com or by fax to 1-403-678-3357. Our Transfer Policy is available here.
3. I've registered for HISTORY 2005, but can no longer attend. Can I get a refund and how?
It depends on your registration type: only Congress Rate registrations are refundable
and only until November 15, 2005. All cancellation & refund requests must be made in
writing no later than November 15th, 2005 by fax to 403-678-3357 or email to
register@achillesmedia.com. A cancellation fee of $100 CDN will be deducted from your
registration refund.
4. Can I purchase a registration on-site?
Yes, Full Rate is available on-site.
5. Can I bring a guest to a social event?
Your registration includes access to all official social events. One guest pass may be purchased per social event. Passes will be available on-site at the Registration Desk only.
6. What do I wear to social events?
Dress for all evening events is business attire.
7. Do I need to bring my badge to social events?
All delegates must wear their badge to all social events; it is your ticket to the event and without it you may be refused entry. Likewise, guests must bring their tickets. Social events are reserved for registered delegates and their guests only.
8. I need to have something sent to me in Rome, how do I do this?
Please ensure that all mail, courier packages, and faxes are sent directly to your hotel.
9. I need to change my hotel dates. How do I do this?
Contact the hotel directly; please make yourself aware of the hotel policies and charges regarding changes and cancellation.
10. What is the weather like in Rome in December?
In Rome the temperatures can be brisk in December. It's often sunny, with daily high averaging 14°C and average evening temperatures of 5°C.
11. How will delegates find me at the Congress?
Every registered delegate receives a Delegate List which includes the names of all those who registered prior to September 30, 2005. Delegates who register after September 30 are listed in an addendum which is widely circulated during the event.
